Lex on yoga
Throughout my yoga practice I experienced that yoga not only strengthens the body but also the mind. Slowly but surely body and mind become more flexible, balanced and in tune with each other.
Yoga gives so much joy. It helps me to discover it takes very little to be happy. I feel humbled and excited to teach yoga at Svaha. Teaching and learning are basically the same thing. It is about enjoying the flow of what is happening right now and opening up to change. I hope I will never stop learning from yoga and intensely enjoy teaching. It is just another practice to stay inquisitive about yoga and deepen the practice of asana’s and meditation.
I combine yoga with jobs as media researcher in Hilversum and teacher at the University of Amsterdam. After a day of work, yoga helps me to focus inside and quieten the mind. It always amazes me how refreshed I can feel after some good sweaty yoga. Teaching yoga gives me great joy and I am very happy to share my enthusiasm with others.
